Siding for homes was a booming business, influenced by rebuilding in the Gulf States and growth in new housing starts in 2004 and 2005. During the fall of 2005 and into the spring of 2006, Suki teamed with the Credit Department to mitigate risk using simple process mapping techniques and failure modes analysis. Immediate gains of the practical application of these tools include improved communication with internal process partners and a new way of processing sales. The department manager wrote of her experience, "With humor and tact, Suki creates a new frame of reference from which to consider future steps."
Public Schools
In partnership with the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and Data Driven Decisions, Suki brought Lean Six Sigma performance improvement tools to nearly 40 public schools. Suki guided teams in elementary, middle, and high schools - environments with no experience in what have customarily been tools for business. In spite of their collective lack of familiarity with performance improvement concepts, principals surveyed at the conclusion of the project were unanimously highly satisfied with Suki's interventions.
